The Progressive Armonía Studies Level 2 book uses a simple, tried and true progressive approach to continue learning how to play standard chords and notes on the guitar, vihuela, and guitarron. The book focuses on the standard keys of E, and C as well as common minor keys in mariachi repertoire. The exercises go from simple to complex with the student ultimately studying the previously learned mariachi styles from Level 1 and the mariachi styles of focus in this book: son variation, joropo, bolero ritmico, danzon, bolero ranchero, and ranchers lenta variation. There is little else needed to continue to learn how to play the mariachi guitar, vihuela and guitarron at the intermediate level.
