About Us

In 2004, Beautiful Minds Educational & Special Needs Services, Inc. (BMI) was founded by husband/wife team, Ifeanyi and Nicole Ufondu, the proud parents of a son, Neiko J. Ufondu- "The Face of Beautiful Minds" a 5th grader at Cross Timbers Intermediate (Mansfield ISD) who initially struggled with mild symptoms of A.D.D., but currently a straight "A" student.  The Ufondu's are life-long educators who developed a strong conviction to empower "At-Risk" students and parents from economically disadvantaged to affluent communities in accessing the educational system and its resources in order to meet the academic and social needs of individuals with Learning Disabilities(LD).

Headquartered in Beverly Hills, CaliforniaBMI currently employs Licensed Psychologists, an Educational Psychologist, a Life Coach, a Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist, an office manager and bookkeeper, in addition to its principal consultant. Additional contracted professionals are engaged when warranted by the unique circumstances of some cases. BMI now has a second location in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas Metroplex (please note: This location does not offer ANY psychological services in the State of Texas).

Our profound interest in Exceptional Students is the direct result of the growing concern and need of EDUCATING, EMPOWERING, and EXPOSING the invisibility children with Learning Disabilities encounter in schools throughout the country. We are dedicated to the academic and social success of our clients and their families.

We strive to educate and empower our clients and the community about their rights in obtaining Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for their child(ren).

Beautiful Minds Educational & Special Needs Services, Inc. offers multi-disciplinary providers who also have expertise in issues concerning Learning Disabilities, Special Needs Advocacy, Multi-Cultural Education, Special Education Public Policy, Behavioral Management, Gang Prevention & Separation, Judicially involved/Court Appointed Clientele and Youth Mentorship.

BMI continues to stay abreast of research, legislation, and training concerning IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Act 2004) and the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act 2005.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

Guiding our work is a Multicultural Approach to education, which is defined not only by race and ethnicity, but economic status, cultural beliefs, gender, age, sexual orientation, geographic location, immigration status, and physical or mental abilities. This approach seeks to mobilize the talents, cultures and abilities of California's diverse populations to improve the quality of our educational systems concerning Exceptional Students and to promote IDEA 04 awareness at the level of All communities. At Beautiful Minds Educational & Special Needs Services, Inc., our Multicultural approach to education is reinforced through social investments made in local communities and a critical analysis of the educational experience Exceptional Students receive.
